Sweet & Salty Chex Mix

Back when I lived in London with my parents my sister and I used to spend a lot of time at the house of some lovely American friends called the Eckers. We would hang out, watch films, play games and eat this wonderful stuff called Chex Mix. It's not something we have in England, but ever since I first tried it I knew I loved it!

I'd never made it for myself until the other day when I suddenly started to crave it! So I whipped up a batch, and considering how much my husband and I love it I know I'll be making another batch very soon.

Sweet & Salty Chex Mix
Adapted from My Joy-Filled Life
Makes 12 cups

6C Shreddies
2C Salted Pretzels
3C Loop Cereal
1C Salted Peanuts
9Tbsp Vegan Butter Spread, melted
2Tbsp Vegan Worcestershire Sauce
2tsp Season-all
1tsp Garlic Powder
1/2tsp Onion Powder
1Tbsp Sugar

Mix the cereal, peanuts and pretzels together in a large mixing bowl. Whisk the sauce, seasonings and sugar into the melted butter and pour over the dry mix, a little at a time. Stir well to make sure everything is evenly coated.

Pour onto a large baking tray and bake at 150 for 45mins, stirring the chex mix every 15mins to make sure everything bakes evenly.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before pouring into a large jar or tin to store.
