Sunday Snapshots - 13/03/16

One of the highlights of this past week was getting my hair done on Monday! I love it so much and can't really imagine my hair without the green now!

I'm trying to embrace the little moments of quiet that I get these days, enjoying the little things like having a hot cup of coffee while the boys played together (for all of ten minutes!)

I recently discovered the shop Tofu Cute and ordered some Konpeito - the sweets that the soot sprites eat in Spirited Away! How delicious is it? Well...lets just say there aren't any left!

Sweet smiles from Ez and an improvement in his sleep (and ours) - he's been diagnosed with silent reflux and is now much more comfortable thanks to the antacids the doctor prescribed.

My colorful house is looking even more colorful thanks to some beautiful flowers (a Mother's Day gift) and my Easter decorations.

Sweet Sunday Snapshots - 14/02/16

There are lots of sweet moments to look back on from this week, one of which is that Pete got a new job! Hurrah! It's going to be an adjustment as it's more than double the hours he's been working, so things might be a bit quiet around here for a few weeks as we adjust. With my two boys there's always so much to be thankful for, so here are some of the sweet snapshots from the past week.

-We got to church! With a baby, a teething toddler and my ME relapsing lately it's been really tough to get to church, but this morning we were able to make it and we all had a great time. Hal fell asleep during the worship music, he was so relaxed! And Ezra enjoyed playing in the ball pool in the creche!
-Pretty Macarons. After a failed batch of galaxy macs earlier in the week I was really happy with how these macarons turned out. I'm a real perfectionist so I like everything to look just perfect!
-Yes Mum Cards. I ordered some of these affirmation cards and I have to say that they are really a great encouragement on those days when life's a bit of a struggle!
-Crochet! I decided to learn to crochet this week, I tried to learn a few years ago and it was a hilarious failure! I found this YouTube video on how to crochet a granny square and now I've mastered it and am making a few a day! I plan to make them into a snuggly blanket when I've got enough!

-My gal pal Britt (you may remember her from my Boss Babes post earlier in the week) has finally set up a blog! I can't wait to see what she has in store!
-These Unicorn Pins from Sparkle Collective are crazy adorable.
-How gorgeous are these Valentines Day Cookie Pops by Wallflower Girl!? I might try making some this week.

Sweet Sunday Snapshots - 07/02/16

This week has been difficult, as I had a bit of a CFS relapse. even though I've not been able to do much, I've still had plenty of sweet moments to highlight!

-How amazing is this BB-8 cushion!? Hubby found a couple of these great cushion covers in a clearance sale online - we only had to pay the postage!
-Saying goodbye to my favorite jeans. I must admit this was bittersweet for me! As much as I'm happy to be slimming down, I absolutely love these jeans!
-Matching boys! I can't believe my boys are almost in the same sized clothes! Hal has always been a size down from his age and Ezra is two sizes up!
-Kitchen organizing. I spent some time sorting stuff out in my little kitchen yesterday, as I'm going to do a little tour on the blog this month. I love it when everything's organized!

-The rainbow-fairy Flora Fairweather's simple but beautiful Doll House DIY is definitely something I want to try making for Hal!

Sweet Sunday Snapshots - 31/01/16

I haven't done a Sweet Sunday Snapshot post for so long! I've missed looking back at the sweet things I've enjoyed each week, so I'm bringing it back! And this week has had an awful lot of sweet to look back on, so here goes...

-My sweet, hilarious boy! Hal is growing into such a funny, lovely boy and it's just such a pleasure to watch him develop into this amazing little person. At the moment he loves making Ezra laugh, trying on my glasses and telling jokes!
-Crafternoon! The first crafternoon of 2016 was CRAZY AMAZING! We had a fantastic time chatting, crafting and eating yummy food. I love my crafternoon ladies and I really cherish the time we spend together each month.
-Play time! Now that Hal's almost 2 he's so much more fun to play with! He's really loving playdoh, coloring, building blocks and baking at the moment - and I'm loving doing all of those things with him.
-Best friends! Two of my bestest friends in the entire world came to stay for the weekend and we've just had such an amazing time together. I can't wait for them to come to visit again soon!

Sweet Sunday Snapshots

I had so many sweet moments this week I couldn't pick only four! This week was the last week before my husband Pete starts his new job, so he made sure I got to do some special things I won't get much chance to do once he's out of the house for most of the day!

-Girly time! I went for a lovely day trip to Rochester with two of my besties Nicola & Olivia and had the best time! (I'll be blogging about it soon!)
-Sophie La Girafe Bubbles. I was gifted some gorgeous bubble bath for Hal from Sophie La Girafe Baby cosmetics and oh my goodness I love it! Hurrah for cruelty-free, natural bath products!
-Yummy breakfasts! I made some really good vegan french toast this week. Breakfast always makes me happy - especially when it's served with cinnamon-sugar!
-Pillow dens. This week we discovered the awesomeness of the pillow den! Hal absolutely LOVED lounging about and practicing his walking, and it was a nice rest for me!
-Exciting projects. This week I got to work on a really, really exciting project to do with my macarons! More to be revealed soon!
-Fruit cravings. The third trimester cravings have set in and so far all the baby wants is fruit, fruit, fruit! I ate a gazillion oranges this week, and I normally don't even like them!
-New macaron flavors. I've made some really good macarons this week, can't wait to share the recipes with you soon!
-Fakeaway night! This week I discovered a vegan tikka masala sauce for 80p that actually tastes good! YAY!

Sweet Sunday Snapshots

This week has been full of sweet moments! I hope yours has too!

-New Desk Plants from Tiger. What do you mean they're erasers? Shhhhhhhh....
-Macaron Madness! I've made some of the best batches of macarons yet this week, and these Rhubarb-Lemon Fizz ones were sent to Toni of Lemon Freckles as a thanks for my blog makeover!
-My Growing Bump. I'm 28 weeks pregnant now and really feeling it! But I'm trying to embrace my big bump as much as possible as I know this will be my last pregnancy! (ps: I only just discovered you can make any top a maternity top by wearing it over a tank top and tying it in a knot! Amazing!)
-Packing Away Easter Decorations. I have a mini white 'Christmas tree' that I decorate seasonally all year long, and I finally packed away my Easter decorations this week - just need to put the finishing touches to my summer decorations now!

-I discovered Hey Jules this week and oh my goodness, she's the queen of cute!

Sweet Sunday Snapshots

This week has been really difficult as poor Hal has been suffering with a bad ear infection. Anyone who has littles knows that when baby is sick it effects everything! He's on the mend now, and I've still had many happy moments throughout the week!

-Super cute clothes & yummy drinks. With my baby belly ever expanding I found myself in need of some new comfy clothes, so we popped to Primark and I grabbed a few pairs of cute PJ bottoms to wear around the house - including these adorable ones, don't they remind you of Lemon Freckles!?
-Hal's Birthday! My baby turned one on Tuesday, and even though he wasn't feeling very well we managed to have a nice meal out at Wagamama with some lovely friends and enjoyed ourselves as much as we could.
-Pretty nails. I'm obsessed with nail polish and I've loved this week's nails design!
-Comfort food! There's little better after a really tough day than a big, comforting bowl of Mac 'n' Cheese with ketchup on top!

Sweet Sunday Snapshots

Each Sunday I thought it would be fun to share a few snapshots of things that have made me happy this week!

-Lovely gifts from sweet besties! Lychee Popping Bubbles and Seed & Bean Lavender Chocolate. I'm planning to use the chocolate to make some amazing cookies this week!
-Finding Hal's selfies on my phone. Hal loves to talk to himself on the screen on my phone, and sometimes he manages to take great accidental selfies for me to discover!
-Mini Pop Tarts. I made a load of teensy Strawberry Pop Tarts for Hal's Birthday party yesterday, and they were so darn cute (and tasty!) There's a recipe for regular sized Pop Tarts here which is easy to adapt.
-Good Coffee. I recently dusted off our gorgeous coffee machine and have started using it every day to make proper coffees! This week I've loved adding a squeeze of Choc Shot to my Latté (have you tried their new flavors!?) and of course a few marshmallows!

What has made you happy this week?
