  2. Okay this really is the best thing ever! The video was very clear and easy to follow, thanks a bunch! :)

I think nobody's got a proper macaron recipe in Finnish yet, so is it okay if i translate at least one of your recipes? Of course I'll mention the source!

  3. Hi Charis! Thanks so much for your hard work on the macaron recipes. I'm sure you've been asked this before but I'm not sure where to find the answer: I was wondering what form of ground almonds you recommend? Do you buy blanched almond flour or simply grind the almonds in a blender or food processor? I feel like the difference in texture of ground almonds vs. almond flour could be important. Looking forward to trying my hand at macarons!

    1. Hi Robin,
Here in the UK the supermarkets sell blanched ground almonds which is what I use in all my macaron recipes. I wouldn't recommend using almond flour as I think the texture is too fine and the cup measurements will contain more almonds than with just ground ones. I know a few people who have had failed batches have found it was because of their use of almond flour as opposed to ground almonds! Good luck with your Macaron baking!

  5. Wow!! So it's just the liquid from canned chick peas? Can I use other kinds of canned beans' liquid? Thanks! xx

    1. I believe some people use other white beans liquid, but I always use chickpeas so can't promise the same results!
